The last two days were tough - both physically and mentally.
We set out on a cloudy day to hike 18km to a hut in the mountains, enjoy a relaxed evening and hike back the next day.
After ditching the car 3km away from the start of the track due to the fords running too high for our car to cross, we hiked 25km through a storm, changing our original destination after 6 hours of hiking and several impassable mudslides.
Instead of French Ridge Hut, we ended up (after a detour) at Liverpool Hut, 8.5 hours after we started walking, sodden, with no heating, no lighting and little warmth...but thankful nonetheless for the roof over our heads.
At Mount Aspiring Hut, 4 hours back down along the track, we had been told we would be the only people in the valley that day/night. Quite an amazing and humbling experience to know that there is not a single other soul for miles around - no signal, no electricity, no water. Just you, the mountains/glaciers/waterfalls, and the storm.
The weather cleared briefly in the morning before we were hit with an even bigger storm than the day before. We slid back down the mountain and basically swam back through the valley. After wringing out our clothes at Mount Aspiring Hut on the way back, we finally squelched back to our car, over 32 hours after we'd left her, exhausted but exhilarated.
What an incredible and challenging few days. ...the hardest part was getting up for work this morning 😂
Yesterday I had moxibustion to try and turn what we think is a breech baby. I’ll be trying everything possible to turn him, and thankfully he seems to be moving around a lot still and he isn’t engaged yet.
I’ve got moxibustion sticks to carry on the treatment and baby is so active during and after, I’m really hoping it works. I’ll be practising lots of inversions during my yoga practice too.
Any success with turning babies or stories of moxibustion working?

My favorite cereal to start off a busy day! Here's to creating our own reality 😜 by letting other people affect you you're just punishing yourself more for their opinions which you aren't in control of. So remember that the only person who counts in what you think of yourself is you 💖
PLAY🤸♀️what was the last time you had fun in your day to day? I am not talking about when you are on holiday, I mean in your daily ‘real life’. Do you enjoy your breakfast? Do you feel great after eating it? Do you wake up energised? Do you still enjoy your yoga practise, your training, your hobby, even your job, as he first time you’ve done it? Maybe you enjoy it even more these days. Maybe it has become mechanic. Has it? If so, what can you do about it? What can you do to get that mojo back? Is it about what you do? Is is about changing your perspective on it? Is it the place where you do it? You know it better than anyone. Think about it. Write about it. Than act. In yoga and life, there is no time to dwell on the bad side of things. Remember, after the rain comes the sun. Enjoy it whilst it lasts✌🏼#pauseandflow#spring p.s: can you spot how many times I’ve fallen in my morning practise today? 100? Maybe 101? Yet, it was the most fulfilling since Lao - there you are, holiday does not count. Or does it?🌴
