Had a great time sharing the stage with @jcorabi59 , I could listen to him share his stories and watch him play guitar for days & days. And that voice!!! WOW!!!!Really loved “Dead”. #asseenincolumbus#johncorabi#chuckoney
As I was saying (see previous post) ... amidst the typical end-of-session impending baby meltdown, I started to blow up Corinne's balloons only to discover my newly purchased helium tank was out of helium (thanks, Ciaran). Panic immediately set in because, ya know, mom has NAILED alllllll of Corinne's outfits and now everything hassss to be over the top perfect because the baby is immaculately dressed and gorgeous. Soooooo ... what does a photographer do in this situation, you ask? If you answered, "Leave said parents you just met at your house while you run to Meijers to buy a helium tank," you'd be the grand prize winner! 😆I was seriously out the door and in the car before they could object. 🎈😆🎈😆🎈Worth it because the pics turned out great!!! 📸 Thanks Em and Jason. ♥️
Want to know what 4000 voices lifted in praise sounds like? A little taste of heaven. Our BSF leaders are at the #bsfcincinnati18 Leader’s Retreat this weekend. Please be praying for them as they challenge their hearts to be more like Jesus.
During my quiet time with God this week, one thing that popped out at me was 1 Peter 4:10-11: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.” This struck me so hard because this is the foundation of my photography business. This totally encapsulates why I aim to serve others with the abilities that God has given me. Yes, snapping photos is a joy - but serving others through it to bring glory to God is an even greater joy.
Grateful for all the time spent with the Lord this past week in South Carolina. This aspect of my faith - slowing down and taking time to spend with God - has always been a challenge for me. My mind is always tugged in so many different directions... However, I’m really excited about what God has taught me and that He’s allowed me to grow in this area tremendously this week. I can’t wait to jump back into life in Ohio and keep pursuing Him! 💕 #stephaniekasetravels

As it was getting late, my co-worker and I went our separate ways. She went to the hotel and I had plans to visit my team's (FC Dallas) former sister club, the Columbus Crew. I tell ya, it's football at every opportunity. The Crew were facing my idol, Didier Drogba, and the Montreal Impact. Honestly, this was just an excuse to see Drogba play again. I had seen him play and met him in 2014 while on duty for Côte d'Ivoire before the world cup.
I could rant for about 5 blog posts on how poor FC Dallas' stadium looks in comparison to every team in the league. MAPFRE Stadium was a sight to behold for me. I got a really cheap seat and sat at the top. This was good as I had a great view of the pitch as well as the crowd. Speaking of the crowd, it wasn't the greatest but it was a decent turn-out. I figured it'd be a bit more crowded because of Drogba and his antics in the playoffs the previous year vs Columbus. The supporters sections did chant, "Chelsea reject!" which honestly makes no sense, but banter, I suppose. That's about all I can say in regards to this experience, because the game was absolutely abysmal. 0-0 and maybe there was one shot on target near the end by Oduro for the Impact. Overall, a decent experience which I enjoyed. The Crew have a fantastic stadium with great fans and...SHOULD ABSOLUTELY STAY IN COLUMBUS! #SAVETHECREW
Here's a bonus for Crew fans and readers of my previous post. On the 16th of June 2016, USA played Ecuador in the knockout stage of the Copa America. As previously mentioned, I'll support Ecuador in any fixture, except one. If the result itself of USA knocking out Ecuador wasn't great enough, former USMNT player and Columbus hero Frankie Hejduk was at Fado, an Irish pub in the Easton Town Center where I watch all my games while in Columbus. Frankie is awesome! Thanks to my visit to MAPFRE and meeting Frankie, I've developed a soft spot for the Crew.
