This Kayan woman in Myanmar is 80 years old and has been through the many changes of the country. She was born at a time when Imperial Japan had invaded and would torture the Kayan woman. She talked about how she was disappointed in the younger generations of Kayan woman not upholding the traditions like weaving and wearing the traditional clothes and rings. She has worn her rings since she was 17 years old.
Part 2 of my trip to Dalat earlier this year. Remembered that I took this on the first night in Dalat. Was having dinner by the roadside and saw this lady trying to make a living. Liked the lighting and the settings. Initial thought was also making this pic B&W but as with the last post trying something different. Hope I did good. 😐
Gazing upon the great Sanbansang Mountain and Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak 😱
The Sanbangsan Mountain is the result of violent volcanic activity some 800k years ago and is in fact a huge body of lava. As its name ‘sanbang’ – literally meaning ‘a cave inside a mountain’ suggests, this mountain contains a cave and has a spectacular view out over the ocean. Due to its close location to the sea and its high elevation, the peak is often ringed with clouds. The Sanbangsa Temple and also the Bomunsa Temple, which holds the relics of Buddha, are also located on the mountain.
On the other hand, the Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (a UNESCO world heritage site) rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption over 100k years ago. Located on the eastern end of Jejudo Island, there is a huge crater at the top of Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak providing magnificent sunrise views.
Too bad we didn't have the energy and time to hike up these hilly treasures. Truly a sight to behold ⛰️ .
Закат на островах Гонконга это наверное так же круто, как закат на Фудзи, но... пока я не могу сказать наверняка 😏
🔘А где ваш любимый закат?
It seems like sunset over the Hong Kong islands is as cool as one over the Fuji mountain, but... so far I can't tell for sure 😏
🔘What's your favourit sunset location?
