Sometimes people you may run into or meet make really well intentioned but ignorant comments about your illness and it can make you just want to say WOW 😲... really? #didyoujustsaythat and it’s important to remember people don’t mean any harm by it (most of the time). Check out this article I wrote for The Mighty about how to deal with comments from people you meet (link in bio) ❤️#chronicillness#stigma#advocacy#invisibleillness#spoonie#mentalhealth
The Blairstown Museum is now a member of ArtPride NJ. ArtPride New Jersey, Inc. was incorporated in March 1986 in response to a need for an independent organization to represent the arts community to the New Jersey state legislature. Research conducted by the ArtPride New Jersey Foundation reveals that New Jersey's non-profit arts industry generates over $1.2 billion in economic activity EVERY year. We are so humbled to know we are part of that effort and excited to be a member of this dynamic advocacy group.
Welcome to the colorful world of being a #hustlemom !🏳️🌈
I was once a newbie, with no business background and a “probinsyana” from Mindanao. I had my doubts, my hesitations. But my goals were bigger than my fears. With the awesome support system from my fellow hustlemoms and business community, I found my purpose. It’s not just about earning money, but more of serving my purpose to bless others with the same opportunity given to me, now turned into an advocacy.💞

A few months back we got together with The Victorian Electoral Commission and a bunch of young Victorians to find out how to create a memorable introduction to life as a voter, particularly for 17-20 year olds.
This is what they dreamed up! A shmick new info package and pencil to encourage more young people to get involved and have their say. Keep your eyes peeled, it’s coming to letterboxes right around Victoria 📫✏️ #yacvic#vec
So many people don’t know how I started in the industry. So many people don’t understand the true personal journey I have gone through to get here. My life really changed during my second battle with breast cancer. Kim Sajkowicz Mat taught me about the power behind her photography and make-up. How her lense could capture emotions in me that I didn’t know others could see or feel. She started with my journey of chemotherapy and through to my fourth year in remission.
This image represents the first launch of Nique-Wear in 2015. Although controversial, I wouldn’t change my logo. You see, as I reflect back on my journey today it was and still is about advocacy. I understand a business must make a profit, but I was healing and wanted to show others what my dad taught me....”It’s a Good Life if you Don’t Weaken.” I often pray that one day I will have the money to launch Nique-Wear again. To remind us of the struggle in living, because battling cancer was easy. This living shit is hard.
