Didn't go for any sort of PR this morning. It was only till the last set I finally felt fully awake. 😳 Dealing with a mental barrier with deadlifts as of late, ever since my back injury I have a hard time going full power. I keep waiting for my back to go snapcity when I get just below my knees. .
I know this is something that can only be fixed mentally but I also know not to push myself to the extreme, considering its only been 3ish months and I have zero pain that doesn't mean the healing process is over. Going to start some lower back specific exercises to add stability to the area and see how that goes. 🖤

Had to happen eventually... I haven’t failed a squat for a year. Today was that day. Stupid mechanical failure on second rep at 175#/79.5. Haven’t had that much weight on my back since November. Got a little anxious, worried about depth, didn’t hold my breath after the first rep, lost tightness, fell a bit forward and that was all she wrote. Fought the good fight but couldn’t recover.  But I was damned if I was gonna walk away on that note. Did it again. Got it. Best set of the morning. #neverthelessshepersisted #trusttheprocess #2weeksout #roadto200

Hip thrusted a PB triple of 135kg last night and chopped off my head in this video because it looked hideous and I don’t want people thinking that I look like that normally (because I want to trick them into thinking that I don’t 💁🏽‍♀️👸🏽). Valmistautuminen tähän penkin SM-kisaan oli hankala. Jostain syystä kroppa ei reagoinut painon pudottamiseen viimeisen parin viikon aikana, joten jouduin vedättämään nesteistä ihan kunnolla. Vielä tänä aamuna hikoilin infrapunapussissa, vaikka eilinen meni jo juomatta ja lähes syömättä. Lopulta paino punnituksessa 51,89kg 💪🏼

Pelkäsin tuon kaiken vievän vähän jopa enemmänkin kuin sen parhaimman terän minun nostoista, mutta lopulta oma ennätys 87,5kg ja SM-kulta! Olen todella tyytyväinen. Näissä olosuhteissa tämä oli erinomainen onnistuminen.  Pikkasen hampaankolossa epäonnistuminen 90 kilon nostossa, jossa keventäjä ei tullutkaan paikalle ja jouduin kuikuilemaan hänet avustamaan. Tämän jälkeen minun olisi pitänyt ottaa koko asento uudestaan, sillä nuo maksimaaliset nostot vaatii hyvän teknisen noston. Se 90kiloa laskeutui liian ylös huonon tangon alle asettumisen vuoksi ja jäi ihan rinnalle. 87,5kilon nosto oli sen verran helppo, että uskoin pystyväni uuden kymmenluvun saavuttamiseen tänään! .

Kisan jälkeen piti sitten vielä käydä kokeilemassa se 90kg lämppätilassa.  Ilman stoppia otin ykkösen ja ahnehdin vielä toista, mutta Tuomas joutui sen jo auttamaan ylös 😆 Kaiken kaikkiaan hyvä fiilis ja hetkellinen tyytyväisyys päällä! Focused on mid upper back tightness today...and when I get it right, it's an easy rep, and the pinky squeeze makes sense. More work needed on getting that tightness consistent, and I'm sure the bar path should improve as well.

Squats and bench on this Friday night. I apologize in advance for the awful lighting😑Working more volume into the sets. Squats went smoothly, but my benchpress was feeling a tad weak from being tired and not taking any preworkout. Laying off of it for a bit because over time, our bodies get use to it building a tolerance so it has no effect. Every now and then taking a break is recommended. Gotta remember to keep shoulders rolled back and stay tight. I still kept that strong mindset and got the weight moving👊🏻

Squats went smoothly, but my benchpress was feeling a tad weak from being tired and not taking any preworkout. Laying off of it for a bit because over time, our bodies get use to it building a tolerance so it has no effect. Every now and then taking a break is recommended. Gotta remember to keep shoulders rolled back and stay tight. ❄️Meet Prep & Mini-Cut Update!❄️ I’m about 6 weeks out from my powerlifting meet. Things are going really well, 🙌🏻 even through my cut. I hit a bench PR today at what was about an RPE 8! 🤤Woot woot! Going for another 5lbs Monday🕺I am now spitting distance from my weight class 🙀I am taking one more week to cut and see where I’m at and reassess my plan as I get closer to the meet. 🎉 I’ve never done meal prep before, but implemented it for this mini cut. It has really helped me manage stress by having my day planned out ahead of time. There were a few days when my energy felt low in the gym- but I have been able to push through and get my goal numbers. As intensity has increased in the gym- stress management has been priority # 1❗️in maintaining progress.

Mein Trainer  war dennoch zufrieden. Ab kommende  Woche  kommen Paused Deadlifts mit auf dem Plan. Die habe ich heute das ersten Mal genacht.  Sehr gute Übung.  Wird michbsicher gut weiter bringen 👍

Few days off the gym for me I think.  I planned a deload for this week anyway but it feels like all of a sudden it's hit me like a ton of brick that I feel so fatigued.  Usually I feel it coming on gradually so I know when to rest.  Strength feels down, motivation feels down and I feel like I'm getting ill 😔 never usually get like this, I usually hate rest and I'm itching to get back in the gym.  Few days off , some treatment and a light week and hopefully I will be back to myself ... pb nearly every week since the start of Jan so I can't complain too much, been feeling stronger than ever 💪

Added 10kg to my 5 rep max deadlift 
7.5kg to my best overhead 1rm 
Log pb
Stones PB 
Yoke PB
Farmers PB
40kg on my overhead squat 😂
