[Standing in front of the largest glacier of the alps]
These days I'm struggling with my health again. Haven't felt like that in a long time and it's not easy to stay patient right now. But it's okay, I'm only human - and this is more than enough ࿊ Just breathe

From the familiar to unfamiliar flocks : March 20 "World Sparrow day". The male and female sparrows can be easily distinguished by feather coloration. Female possess brown black with stripes while male possess reddish black and black bibs. Hence they lives as groups commonly called as flocks. Where have the house sparrows gone???? All bird lovers have been asking for long, one main issue is urbanisation and loss of agricultural fields. Also, the chicks of sparrows are very tiny and feed on insects. But, the insect populations itself is going down either because there are fewer plants which attract insects or the over use of pesticides, which kills them. Another problem is the lack of nesting and roosting sites. The rationale for celebrating world sparrow day is not only commemorate the event for a day but to use it as a platform to underscore the need to conserve sparrows as well as the urban biodiversity. #worldsparrowday#sparrow#wilderness#nostalgia#nilgiri#nuts_about_birds
I could write a book on why I love hiking so much.
But people often only see the glorious pics - they forget the slog, the blood, sweat and tears that go into an overnight hike, the suffer-fest when you're going up (or down) hill carrying everything that makes you self-sufficient, the bruises & scars you take home, the occasional feeling of not being able to go on in the heat/cold/rain/wind.
Here guides from @rimofafrica scope out a valley & some rolling hills...which turned out to harbour knee-high thorn bushes, ankle-twister steep ground full of rocks, thickets of burnt protea trees that we had to bundu-bash through, and a boomslang. The sense of achievement is huge when you're through (& I personally love every moment) but a picture doesn't always tell the true story...#justsaying
