But I must say I truly love all of my imperfections. They are mine TO LOVE and they each have either served me well or taught me some beautifully self-acceptance life lesson about myself along the way. 👠
I also own the crazy, quirky, and cool side of myself too! For instance when I’m excited or passionate about something I talk loud, and I cry a lot...I mean a lot, a lot! I laugh hard and I pull my double chin inward and it makes it go from a double chin to a triple chin in seconds. Yep I own my  triple X chin! 👠
Usually those are the pics I don’t post not because I’m ashamed of them or think less of myself quite frankly I don’t post them because I love posting the AFTER (I love the word after btw) pics! 👠 
We all have an AFTER to share.... after the divorce, after the sickness, after the disappointment, after the Bankruptcy , after the renovation, after the addiction, and the list goes on and on. 👠
My squares on Ig are filled with the after story! I was once sad but God turned my mourning into dancing. I was broken before but AFTER God’s healing touch and amazing grace He healed me AND I am whole! 👠

When first beginning your weight gain journey, it can often be confusing for complete beginners.  Many articles will just start telling you what workouts you need to do and how much you need to eat, but this information can often be overwhelming 🤯for some.  Before you start going to the gym and aimlessly walk around trying different machines, do some research and learn about what it takes to gain weight and muscle.

Learning to read a workout seems basic to some of us, but that’s not how it always has been.  If I saw a workout that said “Deadlifts 4 x 8” years ago, I might be able to figure out what the 4 x 8 meant, but how the heck do you do a deadlift?! Take time to learn how to read a workout and the reasoning why you are doing that many reps or why you are resting for X amount of time.

Gaining weight and muscle will come when you learn the 5 main compound movements and learn to master them.  By practicing proper form before you start throwing a ton of weight on the bar, you are setting yourself up for success in the long term.  It will prevent injury and allow for heavier weights down the road.

Nutrition will be crucial when you are working hard in the gym.  Take time to understand what the different macronutrients (protein, fats, carbs) do for you and how much you need to consume.  Gaining weight will require a calorie surplus, so find what it will take to put your body in that range.

Lastly, supplements are completely optional, but knowing what they do and how they can help/not help could possible help you get started as well.
