Well, I’ve been absent for a little while taking a well-earned break! And now that I’m back, plans are getting underway to deepen the ratty lake and improve its beauty! Here is a little snippet of our first day. Thank goodness for machinery and willing helpers 👍😊 @ glenrockgardens
Oh Winter, how much longer will you be with us?
Spent the weekend at a friend’s cottage in the Laurentians. It was the first time I’d been in winter and it was amazing to see the lake covered in a thick blanket of snow. I had her wear one of her cozy blankets so we could do a little photo session in the snow. Earlier we’d gone snowshoeing up the hill and back down and after dinner we spent the evening by the fire. If I could spend every weekend like this I believe winter in the city would be a lot more enjoyable.
Peeking into the emerald waters of the spectacular Joffre Falls 🏜 |
We were here back in November just days before the wet season would revive the waterfall and this would be a very different looking picture 💦🌵 |

"Over the five months I spent in Sweden, I learnt a huge amount about Europe, about different cultures, and about myself. Most importantly, though, I left Sweden having formed some of the
best friendships I have ever been lucky enough to have. As sad as I am that I had to say goodbye, I am so very grateful that I had the chance to meet all these people and make all these friends, because now I have so many individual reasons to head back over to that side of the world." - Alex studied abroad at Lund University in Lund, Sweden
Three years ago today we had the best day ever scooting around Sintra in this little electric car. I can highly recommend it as a fun alternative to driving, walking or cycling! | #Day29 A #photoaday until our next adventure
Franz Josef glacier looking as beautiful as ever for a close up. Each one of the cracks on the glacier surface are caused from plastic flow where the top of the glacier moves faster than the bottom. These cracks can be between 20-30metres deep. #franzjosef#franzjosefglacier#robertspoint#hike#southisland
