Shoulder pain? Shoulder impingement? Rotator cuff injury? Some of the most common injuries or reasons people experience shoulder pain. Many shoulder injuries and pain are caused by bad posture ( forward head, rounded shoulders) which can be from your job, prior injury, improper form when lifting etc. Some of the muscles which are weakened are the rhomboids, middle and lower traps, and serratus anterior. It's important to strengthen these muscles with exercises such as face pulls, single lat rows/pulls, bodyweight or anything with a resistance band. You must be able to retract and depress your scapulas in order to activate the muscle and have proper form in any pull type of exercise. -----------------------------------------
Here are some good foam rolling exercises to do for the shoulder and to loosen up tight pecs, usually the cause for weak upper back muscles, to release any adhesions between the shoulder blades.

You don't need super heavy weights to do these ( they're pretty difficult) I use 2.5lbs. They really help strengthen all those little muscles surrounding your shoulder. I know my form isn't perfect either, I did hair for 3 years, that's going to take a lot of work to correct bad habits and fix these super rounded and asymmetrical shoulders but we all have our own issues and muscle imbalances.
I'm still not feeling 100% but decided to go to the gym and do some active recovery and steady state cardio to sweat out these toxins . I hope this video helps anyone who deals with shoulder pain or is recovering from an injury 😊💜. 📸 @ksanetra.
Another day, another adventure with no plan.
Warmed up with #Treadmill and went for some #barbellbench @ 135lbs for 3x10 after warming up with the bar for a set of 20, then 95lbs for a set of 10. After that #snatches were on my mind since I wanted to hit 125lbs yesterday for 5x10 instead of the 95lbs I did... So I warmed up with a set of 10 @ 95lbs then bumped it up to 115lbs for another set of 10, before finally bumping it up to 125lbs for 5x2 til I couldn't anymore.
Then I dropped it back down to 95lbs and went for a set of 10 before bumping it back up to 125lbs and went for 2x5 before finally my body said it was enough of that, time to switch it up.
So after that I went for #barbelloverheadpress for a set of 15, then curls for another set of 15 before switching it up again for #hammercrunches , started off with 70lbs for 2x10, then 90lbs for another set of 10, the 115lbs for a set of 5, then 125lbs for another set of 5.
After that it was time for some #dumbbellrows @ 75lbs for 4x15. Then #dumbbellcurls @ 30lbs for 5x10. After that I did some #leglifts quick before going for some #TurkishGetup @ 35lbs 2x2.
Tonight’s dinner: chipotle hummus shredded chicken tacos 🌮!!! And they were AMAZING!! .
Organic corn tortillas, shredded chicken seasoned with Himalayan salt, pepper and low sodium taco seasoning ! Lettuce, tomato, lime and some side apples for crunch 😝 SO FILLING!!
