No matter if you wanna learn a skill, start a new business or improve your relationship with someone. You are gonna feel resistance. Why is that? Well - we are not wired to embrace change. Our mind is seeking stability and safety. There's a really good book by Heath Brothers: "Switch: How to Change things When Change is Hard". The book discovers quote: "why is it so hard to make lasting changes in our companies, in our communities, and in our own lives? The primary obstacle, say the Heaths, is a conflict that’s built into our brains. Psychologists have discovered that our minds are ruled by two different systems—the rational mind and the emotional mind—that compete for control. The rational mind wants a great beach body; the emotional mind wants that Oreo cookie. The rational mind wants to change something at work; the emotional mind loves the comfort of the existing routine. This tension can doom a change effort—but if it is overcome, change can come quickly." ➡️ When you have a goal

Everything seems so complicated and the pain of jumping onto it, is bigger than the expected pleasure.

Our purpose extends beyond just developing efficient business processes. It’s also about creating more happiness and less stress in workplaces.
The effects of stressful work environments due to inconsistencies, inefficiencies and/or inabilities to get effective resolutions from management doesn’t end when that employee clocks out or walks out the door for the day.
This can and often does affect them personally. It’s easy to say, “leave work-related issues at work and separate it from your personal life.” But when this is how someone’s only source of income to provide for themselves and/or their family, they feel stuck and torn because they need this job although they may be compromising their mental, emotional and even physical health for it. Now some may say, “well, all they have to do is get a new job.” But that can be easier said than done, right?
I want to see more mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically healthy people in this world. Life brings enough curveballs so if we can make a difference in someone’s life through a positive change, then let’s work on making it happen. Sometimes, everything may be going wrong in someone’s life whether it be one of your employees or one of your customers.
So, by fostering a healthy, happy and productive work environment, work may be the escape that provides hope to your employee(s) or hope to your customer(s) that there is still some good that can come to them while also providing benefits to your business as well.
