With #dusk setting in, the light coming through the trainshed roof becomes deep blue giving a magical atmosphere... This is called #bluehour which is an important time of the day when looking for special light from the sky. During the deep winter weeks, bluehour occurs early in the evening which is a good advantage. During summer months this occurs much later in the nights.
Tracks 14-17 of Leipzig Hbf looking outside onto the platform extensions running to a good distance outside the enormous trainshed. The platform length inside the trainshed was maybe sufficient for vintage longdistance trains but not for current modern longdistance ICE trainconsists. The extensions do not have any cover against rain or other bad weather so here, an umbrella will come in handy. On the glass one of the oldest and iconic advertisements of a long existing life insurance company can be seen. I believe it has been there for many generations and will continue for many to come. It is also present in most large railwaystations in Germany.
