Hello olive baboon 👋🏽
While I went to Uganda for the apes, I was thrilled to see so many old world monkey species too, such as this guy. I’ve finally finished my post talking allllll about the epic roadtrip I took through Uganda 🇺🇬 and Rwanda 🇷🇼 to see gorillas, chimpanzees, and much more! Click the link in my bio to check it out!
Edison, our resident birder and chef extraordinaire, casually brought back the only specimen we got of this Erythrolamprus epinephelus (sorry there's no common name I know of) on our last @biodiversitygroup expedition to the cloud forests of western Ecuador
How amazing are Starlings?! I filmed these guys about a month ago in Blackpool above the North Pier. I just love the way they murmurate, moving like a shoal of fish in the sky! Such an awesome spectacle.
The Pelicans that inhabit Lake Kerkini have a special bond with the fishermen that live and work there. For many years, the fishermen have fed the Pelicans over winter to supplement their diets and remove the need for them to migrate. The belief is that this helps to develop and maintain a healthier ecosystem on the lake but also helps to maintain a healthy population of Dalmatian Pelicans.⠀
