I discovered Keto last summer. I did insanely well with intermittent fasting. Ive been ok off and on since but have been perfect for over a week now. I have my keto staples that have helped me through and a couple of these are new to try. Flavored water (frozen slush), atkins treats (new and not the best choice even though they say 1 net carb but ive read the sugar alcohol is not a good sugar that atkins treats use. So - rarely) which is why i got the quest bars ive heard heated and they are desserts! Im excited about those. Pork rinds are a staple. These are my fav. Ive tried plenty.. havent found many i like, they are a great chicken breading. Cheese in cracker form, whisps or moon cheese or just cheese. Miracle noodles (follow the directions), sugar free syrups - ive got some ideas beyond whipped cream and coffee additions, and my newest thing.. RADISHES! i tried these last night sliced and fried! Great freaking potato substitute and less carbs then cauliflower! I'm excited to experiment with them! #keto#lowcarb#lifestyle#maintenance

Today I helped out my best friend with her daughter's first birthday. There were carbs EVERYWHERE! Cupcakes, flan, cookies, Mashed potatoes, potato salad, mexican rice, Puerto Rican rice, fried chicken! 😱😱😱 I kept thinking about #100daystiljune . #nocheatketo ! I had a big chorizo and eggs breakfast before heading to help her setup the party hall. I also packed some pecans, cheese sticks and parm whisps for snacking . I did SO good!. Hardest thing ever!
Even got in the bounce house to burn a few calories! 😂😂

Lunch today. I wasn't that hungry but made this little plate to keep me going through my daughter's 4 hour birthday party with seven 8-9 year olds! Boy are they loud!! 😆 It's now 8 and I'm still not hungry. They pizza and cake we served didn't even cross my mind as and option. Keto has been amazing for me. This has never been my experience before....I would have been all in on pizza and cake before...now I easily pass over it AND skip dinner...what??? I 💕 Keto!
Fail to plan, plan to fail.
So, a word of advice: if you’re going to do an egg fast, make sure it isn’t spur of the moment and you have recipes in place! 🤦🏼♀️
Silly me thought I’d just eat boiled eggs for lunch and fried eggs for dinner. 🙄
I ate egg salad for lunch which was great, but then came dinner time. I did NOT want plain fried eggs. I spent 30 minutes googling recipes, 20 minutes staring in the fridge, then 20 minutes more googling recipes again, cursing the fact that i don’t have all the ingredients each recipe calls for. WHY do they all seem to use cream cheese??
So, Day 1 of the egg fast was a fail. I ended up eating this beauty for dinner instead. Chicken and spinach in creamy paprika sauce.
Stalled after the first initial 7-8 lbs. So prepped my breakfast (egg/bacon) which I'll eat with avocado or my leftover low carb bread and snacks(hard boil). Will be so hard to limit my cheese intake but hopefully this will help. Been on a gelatin kick lately and have been experimenting with some gummy recipes and so I made a little treat tonight for me and my man Woody Nisbet. I made Low Carb, Low Sugar Chocolate Gelatin Squares! Put this into my fitness pal and each square comes out to be:
1.3 g fat
0.1 g sugar

Trying out a super seed low carb bread recipe from @the_keto_king - my first mistake I can see already is in using black sesame seed flour and chia seeds instead of the white which has given my bread the appearance of charcoal! It should still taste delicious though. I even made my own almond milk for the occasion. Stay tuned for the baked result!
If I had been asked few years ago ... Do you want to do a pole performance? Do you have the courage to wear this outfit? No and no. Today I accomplished one of my goals for this year and couldn’t be happier.
Decided to meal prep today: grilled burgers, steaks, broccolini, asparagus, red bell peppers and roasted sweet potatoes. Also made a gluten-dairy free quinoa flat bread. Not gonna lie, the first few days of cutting out dairy, processed foods, sugar, coffee and soda were TOUGH! I was cranky and had a headache for like three days. But I’m on day six, and I feel great! Still learning and researching, can’t wait to try some dessert recipes 😬

Nem sempre, comer proteína e salada pode ser sinônimo de passar fome. Pra encerrar o meu jejum de 14 horas, optei por uma salada como acompanhamento de um bife de alcatra feito no azeite. 👊💪
So que a salada tinha: couve-flor cozida, alface americana, tomate cereja e maionese de abacate. Uma surra de nutrientes. E pra completar: 2 quadradinhos de chocolate 70% e 3 morangos.
E, você, ainda acha que a alimentação Paleo Low Carb é muito restrita? Sério? É restrita se você quiser ou tiver preguiça de cozinhar uma refeição de verdade.
