Last week I almost skipped the gym. I have been so tired and exhausted that I just wanted to lie in bed and watch some Netflix instead.
I decided to go anyway. I had to force myself, but after starting the workout, I was proud. Even though I couldn't give 100% that day, I felt good and happy that I didn't give in.
Then I saw a quote on the wall in the gym. "Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it." That day, I did relate to that quote a lot.
Did you ever realize how many choices you make every day? All the time? Most of them are so small that you don't even know that you are making a choice. Will I answer this text message now or later? Will I brush my teeth today? Will I take the elevator or the stairs?
You don't think about these things, you just do them the way you always do them.
BUT: Even if you don't have this feeling - If you decide not to change anything, that is making a decision too. The decision of staying in the same job, keeping the same relationship, eating the same food.
That is great news! If you are aware of that and if you take action.
That is bad news if you hope that everything will magically turn out the way it should. Nobody will solve your problems for you or take over the job of changing your life for the better. If you trust in destiny or you have the mindset of pushing tasks to some undefined time in the future - you are making a bad choice.
So stop finding excuses, stop blaming others and stop lying to yourself. You can be that amazing person that you are looking up to. You can have that amazing life. You can achieve anything - if you make that choice!
