Went back on the veggie train and broke my 17 hour fast with this kale, marinated tomato, cucumber and marcona almond salad with pine nuts and chicken salad! This kept me full til dinner, which by the way was an absolute disaster! We went out for Valentine’s Day a day late and went to a very popular highly rated tapas restaurant (like, James beard nomination type stuff) and holy heck it didn’t matter what we ordered it was covered in (dun dun dun) SUGAR! Like, they covered kale in sugar. And Brussels sprouts. And mini burgers! It was brutal. Everything was so horribly labeled and honestly not even particularly good. All my hard work from my zero carb down the tubes 😫 but I’ll bounce back. We LOVE trying new places but it is definitely a dangerous game!! Pretty much 👍 Saturday was good except all the wine, Sunday was bad as I ate hangover carbs, Monday was good, Tuesday was good until I ate crisps just before bed, Wednesday was good until I got home and ate the worlds largest amount of Chinese including all the carbs. Oh and chocolate. I had been pretty much perfect every day until then and I feel like shit from it. Need to stop. Right now!!! I absolutely not undoing all my hard work. #backonthewagon
Keto day 3: I quit. Ya’ll this is the most disgusting diet. When you find yourself putting two pads of butter in your coffee, a spoonful of coconut oil in your protein drink, dousing your salad in blue cheese dressing, eating bacon for every meal with a side of cheese and a whole avacado as a snack, you’re going to feel about as good as a French fry left at the bottom of the used oil pan at McDonalds. Grease is just sitting on the top of my stomach. I kid you not, I can hear it. I’m craving a lettuce farm at this point. If you are what you eat, I’m Miss Piggy right now. Mrs. Butterton is out.

I got in a hurry this morning and forgot to grab my food. Normally, that wouldn’t be a huge problem, but I had meetings through lunch. My midday meeting was catered. I was faced with a decision to eat some of this, eat all of this, or fast. Since I forgot my food at home, I hadn’t had breakfast and was very hungry. Everyone around me was eating. #toomuchpressure I ate it all. Even the cookie. I ate all 1,120 calories of it. This is part of the reason I’ve gained so much weight since starting this job. I attend many catered events and eat out a lot for convenience. Much of the time, my food options are extremely limited if I don’t plan ahead or I slip up and forget to bring food. I don’t know what day of Keto this is. The whole of last week which is supposed to be my second week was bad. Really bad. Didn’t stick to diet. Too scared to step on the scales again. Hoping to start tomorrow afresh. Had flax seed dosa for lunch and cauliflower fried rice for dinner. Hoping to start Keto all over again.

I am having the shittiest day I’ve had in a long time. I went food shopping this morning and came home with these fuckers and then ate three of them when I got home 😭 I just want to cry and cry and cry. Not only because of the binge but just everything feels so crap right now, I feel overwhelmed at home, feel like I am the only one doing anything around the house, everyone’s slave etc, running around after kids, sorting shit out at work, I’m sick of it all. This is me burning out, I can only hold it together for so long and then bam I drop all the balls. I know I’ll be alright in a few days, tomorrow even, but right now I’m down and I just want to curl up and die 😭😭😭

A here. First time trying this caesar salad dressing by @primalkitchenfoods and I loved it! I’m a sucker for creamy dressings. I found this at my local grocery store and it was $4-5. Topped on this salad is green olives and banana peppers. Anything goes when I make a salad in this house!
I also had 2 #ketofails tonight. So depressing! I attempted to make Keto Biscuits (I placed them WAY to close together on the pan, creating one giant biscuit stuck to the pan). And I failed at making #ketochips with cheese. I used wax paper so they all stuck (it was suppose to be parchment paper - who knew there was a difference).
CONFESSION: I haven’t been 100% keto since Thursday. And I’ve had every excuse for not jumping back in. Here’s to getting back on track this week, despite my terrible meal prep today.

I was really bad last night 😣Especially after mama’s bday dinner and that massive Cobb salad. Caloric wise it was horrific, but I actually managed to consume at exactly my net carbs. But then I wanted a cookie... really badly... so I gave in... and 💩 hit the fan... HARD af. It was a downward spiral of relentless binge eating of all that was unholy Keto and more 😭 But thanks to my amazing daughter @haizenh... she is ALWAYS my saving grace, my motivator and sanity saver. We decided it was all good - I deserved it and tomorrow was another day. So here I am, ready to start fresh and anew. Decided to do my intermittent fasting for as long as I can and do a couple of workouts. HAD to have coffee to wake up, and so it’s just a cup of black coffee and this SweetLeaf stevia. O-M-G! This is the BEST stevia I have tasted! I have bought an obscene amount of stevia sweeteners and they all have been so bitter, but THIS is pretty damn good! Last night was an epic fail! Went to a fundraiser dinner and all keto went out the window! But getting back on track today. Not going to let one bad meal take me out of the game! So. My first attempt at bullet proof coffee. The taste is good, but it put a lot on my macros and it's very greasy. Why? Because the recipe reads 16 of coffee, 2 tablespoons ghee or butter (I used ghee, it's fucking amazing), and 2 teaspoons of coconut oil. I should have double checked because somehow I got it in my head that I needed 4 tablespoons ghee and 2 tablespoons coconut oil.... Whoops! LMFAO if I've learned anything on my short lived keto journey, it's that you learn something new every day, and almost everything is a trial and error process before you get it right. Well, I'm gonna be honest here. I've been off Keto for 8 days, because we're broke AF. But I'm so thrilled that I've at least maintained my weight! I've seen lots of people gain it all back when they stop doing keto (not in a weeks time obviously), so I'm glad that hasn't happened at all! I do however feel so crappy. I'm tired all the time, I can barely make it 12 hours before crashing out. I feel so sleepy and nauseous after eating sugar or carbs. I feel bloated all the time, and just off. So I'm really excited to get back on keto next week! Even though I know the keto flu is gonna bite me in the ads, hard!!
