I hate cooking and find myself eating mostly processed frozen vegan food or eating out. After this last competition I’m more dedicated to better training, recovery and fueling my body the best I can. Just eating vegan doesn’t mean eating healthy.

It's Saturday what are you doing. Recovering from your work week by doing nothing. Or are you pushing your body to the limits to make sure it's capable of handling the work load. Screen shot taken from a video of my workout today (I work on saturdays to). I found time and motivation to go do what my mind was telling me not to. I knew my body could handle it and I pushed myself, obviously from the insane face I'm making. So next weekend it will be that much easier to do what needs to be done. Stop making excuses and work.

Who hits DTP for shoulders? I love hitting sequences starting and finishing 30 reps for detail, density, and development. I was told by many back specialists in 1997 that my back has paid a heavy toll over my lifetime of working manual labor in construction & with severe back injuries and narrowing of the discs that I needed major back surgery.
They told me to start making plans to go on disability because there was
a very high percentage & they predicted that I would end up paralyzed and be in a wheel chair for the rest of my life... I did not choose that option.
I have also endured through hernia surgery in 2007, to repair 2 massive hernias with a mesh patch was inserted in my lower left groin area. In which I also deal with complications from that on a daily basis. And although I am
challenged day to day... I always make light of my situation. I think of that movie, "16 Candles" & tell my Grandkids. Grandpas Hyenas acting up!
Ordinary people believe only in the possible. Extraordinary people visualize not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible. And by visualizing the impossible, they begin to see it as possible.

FINALLY! Finally I have found a pull down exercise that really hits my lower lats. It only took me 20 years 😳
I used to hate trying new shit. When I was younger I thought I already knew everything and laughed at people doing new exercises or techniques (what an arrogant fuck I was). Lately I have been trying out new angles for various exercises and realizing I’ve been missing out.
Don’t get me wrong, the basics are always the basics for a reason. They are the foundation of a good training system.
Once you’ve mastered the basics I believe you need to start exploring new ideas or techniques.
Week 5 is upon me! Check in today with my coach @justin413fitness. Yesterday I went and saw a show per his request and I’m glad I did. It certainly increased my mental intensity and brought light down on the situation. There was some serious talent up on that stage and I feel like I have so much work to be done in just 5 weeks. I am proud and humbled and honored to know I’m apart of something special though. These guys and gals that competed last night go through hell to get up there and I can respectfully say I understand what their going through. All in all, it taught me a lot to be there and humbled me. To the next 5 weeks.....

Medium shirt to extra large/150 pounds to 204! 🤗 I was perfectly fine being a lighter weight but got tired of being told I looked sick and thin all the time. I have never been someone who was lucky or someone that wins things.
