"And I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades (death) will not overpower it [by preventing the resurrection of the Christ]. I will give you the keys (authority) of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth will have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth will have [already] been loosed in heaven."

1 Peter 3:18-22 English Standard Version (ESV)
18 For Christ also suffered[a] once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, 19 in which[b] he went and proclaimed[c] to the spirits in prison, 20 because[d] they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water. 21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.

Psalm 33:13-22 English Standard Version (ESV)
13 The Lord looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man;
14 from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth,
15 he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds.
16 The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.
17 The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue.
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,
19 that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.
20 Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.
21 For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name.
22 Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.
I’m a little late getting around to this, but Monday February 19th marked two years since the Lord saved my soul! It’s been a wild two years that has opened my eyes and my heart like never before. I didn’t deserve his mercy then, I don’t deserve it now, and I never will. I’m so thankful for that day when Jesus took my place on a hill called Calvary, so that I may one day live for eternity in a place called Heaven!!!
The Power Of The Tongue!
Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV) Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Now this is a scripture that we need to chew on! If this is saying what I believe it is saying, then what I speak has a big part to play in my life. I can see why this world is so negative. It is because the devil wants people to have death in their lives.
He tries to get us to talk death over ourselves and our families. He tries to get us to talk sickness, lack, destruction, and more. But he has been exposed! We see now that the power is in what we say, so we need to put a watch over our tongues. We need to watch the words that come out of our mouths.
Now, we can look at this verse and just dwell on the death part, but how about the life part? This verse says that there can be life in our tongues. We can speak life over ourselves, our families, and the situations in our lives. Instead of talking about every negative thing that is out there, let us talk the Word. What does the Word say about the situation? What does the Word have to say about what I am going through?
We can also say it like this, “What does Jesus have to say about this?” He and His Word are one. What does Jesus have to say about sickness and disease? What does Jesus have to say about lack, depression, or being unloved?
When you find the truth from His Word, say it! Let life come out of your mouth. Hey, you are going to eat the fruit of it, so you may as well make it good fruit! What do you say?

I chased fitness goals hard for so many years, and ran away from God's heart in the process.
I was always trying to attain perfection. I was always looking for that "just right" number on the scale, those perfect striations in my muscles, to "see" my abs, to get down to that body fat percentage I thought would make me happy. I was completely obsessed.
You know what?? None of it satisfied me. I know today that I chased after all those things because I thought they would fill me up and make me whole.
Please don't misunderstand me, there is nothing wrong with desiring to look a certain way, reach fitness goals, see your abs, enter into a competition of some kind, or anything I mentioned above.
But when it becomes our idol, when it becomes the "king" of our heart, and we place it before everything else in our lives, that's where the problem lies.
You see the KING wants your heart first!! So yes, keep chasing those fitness goals. Keep being passionate about them. But please sweet fitness friend, chase HARDER after Him FIRST!! Be more passionate about growing closer to Him.
He is the only one who will fill that little whole inside of all of us. He loves you more than you could ever ask or imagine. Please don't miss that while you're sweating and striving away.💜💜💜💜
THE REALITY OF ‘DEATH’
Death is real.
When #death comes, we have to part with the world we have come to know. Whatever value we have placed on the world and whatever valuables we have owned, we will be separated from all of these.
What will be left would only be our ‘soul.’ It is the soul that doesn’t have Christ the one to be pitied because of its eternal condemnation resulting from sin.
However, the soul that is in #Christ rejoices!
Death breaks all other unions we have in this world. It carries the #believer ’s soul into the nearest union with its beloved #Lord#Jesus .
This union will be fully enjoyed eternally.

And His name is Jesus!! You go, Kathie Lee!! Her boldness on @megyntoday made me tear up today. I thank God we have the promise of salvation and heaven! And for those who don’t believe, I pray there will come a time that you will because there is no greater peace and comfort! When that time comes, Ezekiel 36:26 says, “And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.” That responsive heart and desire to obey, truly brings a sense of purpose and belonging because you are a loved by the Heavenly Father for being nothing more than you, God’s wonderful creation! #godspromise#kathieleegifford#ezekiel3626
