Fifty-four percent of Jews and 65 percent of Muslims surveyed in a poll for the Foundation of Ethnic Understanding responded that “Judaism and Islam are more similar to each other than they are different.” Jews who had frequent exposure to Muslims said Islam is more inclusive, more evolving and more modern than those who were exposed more infrequently.
PSB Research on behalf of the FFEU conducted a national online survey of 1,000 respondents – 500 self-identified American Jews and 500 self-identified American Muslims – between January 9 and January 24, 2018. The study was sponsored by Ory Capital Partners.
Both American Muslims and Jews acknowledge that there is anti-Muslim sentiment in the American Jewish community, with 55 percent of Jewish respondents surveyed saying that there is some and 9 percent saying there is a lot of anti-Muslim sentiment among Jews, and 44 percent of Muslims saying there is some and 17 percent saying there is a lot.
Some 63 percent of American Jews polled and 65 percent of Muslim Americans agreed that it is very important for the two groups to work together to strengthen laws to prevent discrimination.
On the topic of the Israel-Palestinian conflict, 44 percent of Jews and 48 percent of Muslims say that it is possible for a peaceful and mutually agreed upon solution to the conflict, with 39 percent of Jews and 21 percent of Muslims responding that this is impossible. The numbers that say it is possible increases in the subset of Jews and Muslims that have more frequent contact with each other. “Muslim-Jewish relations are thought to be in conflict but this study shows that they are in a state of cooperation,” said FFEU President Rabbi Marc Schneier in a statement. “This is the first definitive study of its kind to quantify that with cooperation and dialogue between the two groups, we are stronger together.” #islam#judaism#muslim#jew#jewish#christian#christianity#allah#adonai#hashem#jesus#mosque#synagogue#church#france#french#nice#marseille#bordeaux#strasbourg#toulouse#nantes#coexist#harmony#interfaith#humanity#unity#love#friendship#tolerance
Doa Tahun Persatuan.
Salam Maria 1 x … .
Five years ago, I wrote this poem on March 20. Little did I know how meaningful it would be today...
“The Colors in Between”
The sun descends beneath a curtain of colors,
burning its way to another place,
leaving behind a slowly fading fire in the sky.
Darkness settles, warning people:
Without light there is no warmth, no community.
Hell must be like night,
without a sun.
No tapestries arrayed with yellow, red, blue,
and all the colors in between.
No kindness from others, no shining smiles,
no summer days outside, with lemonade.
At best, a gray sky,
a desire to see the rising of the sun,
an eternal desire to escape despair.
The sun comes back, heralded by gold, and crimson,
rising like a flame to engulf the land.
Darkness flees across the expanse, faster than it had settled.
Victory is declared, and it is day once more,
as the furious fire climbs higher in the sky.
Heaven must be like daytime,
always warm, with a shining sun,
nothing left untouched by the radiance.
The sun will never rise,
for he has already risen.
And never set,
for he will never leave.
The colors in between will be ushers no longer,
signaling the end of one day, and the beginning of the next.
They will be the bride herself,
dressed in a scarlet robe, and a golden crown,
wrapped in a purple sash- the paintings of a princess.
No more beginnings and ends,
we will be satisfied, dancing, in the eternal light.
Rest In Peace dad

I love this so much! Way too many times I find myself talking with people who let life slip them because they got stuck in the mundane and stagnancy of life. No matter who you are, don’t settle for mediocrity. Try new things. Start new things. Experience new things. We serve a God of excellence, not mundane.
Trying my best to be comfortable in my skin & teaching my kids that getting dressed is something we should do everyday not just when we are going bye-bye. Ima get real for a second & admit that parenting littles through depression is hard. Parenting by itself is hard, but then add in a fear of leaving the house & people seeing me because my outside (my body) has gotten so out of control & I carry so much shame with me because of it. We go days without leaving or bathing or changing our jammies because it’s just too hard, too overwhelming, too much. Jesus is giving me courage to walk out of this. Today I need a whole lotta Jesus. #nomakeup#realclothes#realtalk#depressionfighter#jesus
