Farmer's market haul. I never do these, but...I was so excited to get romanesco, even though it is not local. I also got free advice about growing it myself. I didn't have any success last year. Carrots are in plastic bag, which I will reuse, and they are local and organic. Summer sausage in only cloth! Also made by fermenting then drying, instead of cooking. Two loaves of bread with no packaging! That is success to me. ---
I’ve lost too much jewellery to my little tuggers lately so today I’m reclaiming it!
Nothing like a rainy day to inspire creativity - and my #zerowaste efforts will leave me with something more personal than I ever could have bought at the shops 😍🙏🏻
Are you a creator? ⠀⠀
Let me know! I’m always on the look out for new small businesses to support xx
Keeping with my New Year's resolution, I made another change this month that benefits the Earth. No more plastic bags. Until my #Wakanda passport comes through, I'm trying to be my own superhero against 45's anti-environment policies and the destruction of the EPA. #murica

Our basil plant made it one week with us! 🌱
Buying fresh herbs in the winter usually looks like a handful of leaves in a plastic clamshell that go bad two minutes after you bring them home. We had a couple recipes this week that called for basil and turns out the price of a living plant was the same as a plastic pack of 5 leaves. 🌿
HOWEVER, we have terrible thumbs of death when it comes to plants! RIP all the plants who have perished under our care. I've been trying really hard to keep lil' basil alive, I've even been moving him into our warmer bedroom at night and back out to the window during the day. He's a little droopy today cause I probably should've watered him yesterday... didn't come with an instruction book 🤷♀️. But gardening is something I really want to do at some point in life so I better start building my skillz!
Fun facts about lil' Basil. Grown locally here in Utah, non GMO, did come in a plastic container but if he gives up the ghost we could plant something else in it. Even just this little bundle of greenery has really brightened up our kitchen. If Basil starts going downhill and we can't bring him back we plan on having pesto night. 🍝
Are you a plant lover or killer or both 😭 Let's see if we can make it through week two! Any basil tending tips greatly appreciated.
💖Good morning lovelies.....I have an amazing DIY beauty blend for you that you are going to want to write down because it is amazing.....
I’m hard on my hands and wash them constantly. Coming from a background in healthcare and being taught to wash, wash, wash, it’s great to have good hygiene, but bad for my dry hands and cuticles.
I call this my unicorn nail blend because it is magical on my cuticles and nails. My normally brittle nails thrive when I use this regularly on my cuticles. It’s chock full of nourishing oils and smells so good!
✨One empty nail polish bottle
✨Fill the bottle 3/4 of the way with a carrier oil (I use our V6 complex oil)
✨10 drops Lemon EO
✨8 drops Frankincense EO
✨6 drops Lavender EO
✨5 drops pure rosehip oil (this is optional but I highly recommend it).
Shake the bottle gently and then apply 1-2 times a day on cuticles. 💖
