The last week of 2017 has been one of the MOST STRESSFUL of my life. I will not bore anyone with details, because I hate regurgitating negative vibes and stories. I will say that I’m doing my absolute best to smile, keep my chin up and appreciate even more the glimmers of hope and positive energy I find throughout my day. After dealing with recent challenges, I am re-inspired to continue driving ahead on the path that sets my soul on fire and fulfills me. It’s of no surprise to me that 3 of the “best 9” of 2017 are from the past few weeks. This year has been an outstanding year and I know that when I am happy, my heart sings, my smile is brighter and I radiate joy! I went on 2 vacations which is unheard of, I started 2 new coaching jobs that I absolutely 💕LOVE 💕, I took more romantic risks and even opened my heart to a man (it didn’t end well but at least I know I am not carrying an ice box in my chest ha!), I learned how to swim well and I competed in my very first Crossfit competition!! Cheers to the winding down of what has been a phenomenal year for me. I almost cried on the treadmill tonight! Not because it hurt but because I was so HAPPY to be there in THAT moment.
I am a woman who lived for herself for 33 years. Waiting tables, traveling, teaching, and coaching track were some pretty sweet times. Now I “mom” 24/7 to two sweet littles and work from home on two businesses. I’ve been fighting a head cold for the past few days and so to say it’s been easy to carve out some ME time is an f-ing joke! 🤣
Thank goodness my sister in law @bockfitjr is in town! Our session tonight with @fit_by_tiana at @rippedtrainingmethod was just what this soul needed!
I have not posted this in a while, but for those of you out there that are not where you want to be, here is a little motivation for you #MotivationMonday !!! If you have ever been on the top of the mountain and been knocked down, this one is for you.... been there, done that and I know exactly how it feels to be in a hamster wheel where you feel like no matter how hard you try, you are not getting closer to your goals. In the pursuit of professional status in the competitive bodybuilding world, I did so much damage to my body, I wound up swinging the pendulum in the complete opposite direction of everything I had worked for! I trained over 3 hours a day and was in such a restricted meal plan, that the minute I took a moment to rest (after getting my pro card), my weight sky rocketed up over 50 lbs in a very short time. It absolutely sucked and it took me years to work it off... in a very slow and steady manner with the guidance of several people including my chiropractor, naturopath and gynecologist... Here is my advice to you: NEVER GIVE UP on what you truly want for yourself, ALWAYS be your own advocate especially if you are not FEELING well, and BE PATIENT on your climb out of the depths of hell...
