This humongous book series of dark fantasy is a favorite of a cousin of mine who told me that it was one of the best series he had ever read. It's not an easy ride since you get to know, love and mourn tons of characters in spite of their many flaws along nearly 3,000 pages. One of my favorite quotes also encapsulates the spirit of this entire series : "When all the rest is said and done, we're still the Black Company. We get the other guys to do the dying". 🇫🇷 #bookishvariety challenge by @book.happy & #defitarte by @mangez_des_tartes ! Cette gigantesque fresque de dark fantasy est une des préférées d'un de mes cousins. Ce n'est pas une lecture facile - on apprend à connaître, aimer et pleurer un grand nombre de personnages malgré leurs défauts sur presque 3 000 pages. L'une de mes citations favorites résume bien l'esprit de toute la saga : «When all the rest is said and done, we're still the Black Company. We get the other guys to do the dying».
Titre français : La Compagnie Noire.

[I doubt if anyone will read something this long (hehe)]
So, I'll start with this: All you're gonna see is things in my fantasy. No, I'm not a novelist, nor an artist. I'm not creative or skillful enough to make up brand new stories or draw brilliant illustrations. I steal. I joint ideas that I saw in animes, mangas, movies or whatever together in my head and BOOM! MY story is born. Now you might see plots and characters from different places (you definitely will), and how they interact with me. But please don't hate me for ruining the original characters or how different they are here. This is my world. Why I want to share my stories? Don't get me wrong. I definitely do NOT want others to know about it. (For it's childish and embarrassing.) But you see, I have been holding all these fantasies in my little brain for FOUR YEARS. There is like, 16GB things, which I can't tell anyone about in my head! And it's taking too much of the RAM inside me. So I'll write it down here, and yeah, I don't mind if any of you passes by and sees it.
I suck at drawing, so almost everything here is saved from the Internet. Credit to all owners and artists out there! DM me if I didn't give you your rightful credit.
-(p.s. I'm 19 years old irl. Go ahead and call me immature, I don't care.)

#andreaswellinger#andiwellinger#teamwellinger#skispringen#skispringer#dsv#skijumping#andreaswellingerfanfiction#fanfiction#fantasy#erfunden#story#fortsetzung#geschichte#firstfanfiction#schreiben#teil210

The story is about Azuma who is affected by a rare syndrome called alice in mirrorland which makes her see things that shouldn't be reflected in the mirror or water etc.
She found herself inside the mirror with people who have the same syndrome fighting this so called "world devils". As the story goes on, they learned about what Alice in Mirrorland syndrome really is. --

Book review of The Bedlam Stacks by Natasha Pulley.
The year is 1859. Merrick Tremayne is an ex-East India Company smuggler wasting away at home after he suffered an injury to his leg. Things at home aren't what they seem either. Trees explode and statues move until Merrick imagines that he must be going quite mad.
When his old employer and an old friend turn up with a new job to smuggle quinine out of Peru, Merrick is doubtful because of his injured leg. But he agrees to go on the expedition to escape from his dreary home life.
On reaching the little town of Bedlam, Merrick discovers that the place is woven with legends. There is a salt line that he cannot cross or he will end up dead. Or so the local priest Raphael says. Then Raphael himself is another mystery to unearth. He had known Merrick's grandfather almost a century ago yet he still looks like a young man. On top of that Merrick finds more of those statues that seem to move about.
Merrick must learn to separate truth from the legends and succeed in his mission or resign himself to a life of boredom and dreariness.
This book is so different from anything I have ever read. Firstly, the writing. I loved Pulley's writing style. It wasn't easy to read but that's what makes books more interesting, right? Quite a few times I had to reread sentences and paragraphs to make sure that I got the imagery right in my head. Secondly, this book has too many elements.
When it started, I thought this book was about a quest for quinine and how a crippled ex-smuggler learns to overcome his injury. Then as I kept reading, I discovered that this book also had a fantasy element where legends and myths come alive. Then there was also the element of thrill and suspense as Merrick delves deeper into local legends. Add to that the mystery surrounding the priest Raphael and the end result was a fantastic book. The writing, the imagery(specially the beautiful glowing pollen depicted on the book cover), the plot and the characters- everything was amazing.
Restorative Hair oil for strength, growth, length, conditioning & nourishment!
Ingredients: -coconut oil -curry leaves (optional helps to stimulate the scalp for hair growth)
-aloe vera plant (chopped into cubes) -onion juice (white or red/freshly squeezed)
1. Add 3-4 tablespoons of coconut oil into a pot and allow it to heat for a minute or two. Then add a hand full of curry leaves, chopped up aloe Vera plant (remove the sharp pointy sides and edges). Bring this mixture to the boil and stir occasionally until it’s bubbling and the coconut oil has changed slightly to a yellowish tinge in colour ensuring it has been infused with the aloe and curry leaves.
2. Pour the oil mixture into a glass bottle excluding the leaves and aloe. (You can use this excess for your garden soil around other plants). 3. Grate or use a juicer to extract the fresh juice of half an onion of your choice. White onions are a lot more potent so if you have a sensitive scalp try red instead. You can then add the onion juice straight to the jar, mix it all together and apply it to your scalp! And that’s it! You can also store this mixture for up to a week in the fridge and use 1/2 times a week or as much as you like. Best results when left over night to soak into the hair and washed out the next morning 💚happy oil massaging💚
