Retouching has become somewhat therapeutic to me. Taking photos that already look great and making you forget the photos initial state by changing details without taking from the photos true beauty. Spot the difference. First photo is my retouch and second is the original - Swipe to compare 👉🏾

"Scott Castelein is an amazing photographer with a thirst for spontaneity and adventure. By sharing his photographs, he has inspired me to get out and see the world around me." - Scott Oberlander, Editor.
Scott Oberlander met Scott Castelein while working on an independent film in Northern Michigan. Castelein was the cinematographer for the project. They haven’t seen each other much since, but Castelein constantly inspires Oberlander with his photography and work ethic. His drive to improve serves as a reminder that there’s always room to grow. This attitude has pushed Castelein to produce breathtaking pieces. His photographs from the Porcupine Mountains even lead Oberlander to start backpacking. Castelein inspires Oberlander to continue learning and adventuring, and that has truly impacted his life. In his words, “it’s safe to say I might not be the same person I am today, if it wasn’t for Scott’s photography.” #MonthOfInspo @scottcastelein
