One of my childhood wants was to have a LEGO set. My mom was opposed citing that it was “not creative” This is the woman who, when I asked for a coloring book, I was given the #uncoloringbook or maybe it was called the #anticoloringbook it was the 1970’s and that was a long time ago!
But here we are 2018 and I was gifted my first lego set by my 19 year old son. Big old ugly tears of joy were shed over this gift.
Even with all the LEGO we had for my son, I never had a set.
This was perfect for me in so many ways. I love #volkswagens although my #beachbuggy was a #vwthing in orange with #rainbow#hobiestripes on the side.
This build was challenging enough that it forced me to go slow, and I made multiple mistakes. I even had to set it aside at times because it was taxing my brain. This is a huge departure from my normal operating procedure of “get it done fast and be done”
The final stretch was super frustrating and I had to rebuild the surfboard multiple times before getting it right. And after I took the first #afterphoto I realized I had messed up the rear wheel well. Oops!
I’ve been searching the internet for what type of projects I’d like to do next and I’m thinking the #architectureseries#legoarchitecture with my goal being to using the #legoarchitecturestudio if I still like the process after I have more experience with building.
I am so impressed with how the #legoengineers put this together.
I am Jenn, I am 48 years old, and I just completed my first lego set.
It was my first visit at @qatarnationallibrary, guess what I found is mini Maze Runner 🚶🏻♂️🚶🏻♀️🚶🏻♂️🚶🏻♀️📚 It seems fun times are back at #library now. 🤩
