So here is my Kathleen Turner story: I go up to her table on Friday, I pay her agent $60 for a signed pic and a photo with her.
There's one person in front of me, she doesn't even finish with that person when she grabs my pic and starts signing it. She looks up at me and says "I'm so tired, I need a break! I've been doing this for 2 hours!" I just froze and asked her if I should come back. Then I point to the guy in front of me and said he's waiting for a pic. She says Oh! Then poses with him and turns to me and finishes signing my pic. It's a pic of serial mom so I ask her if she can put Pussywillow on it.
She rolls her eyes, huffs and says "fine! I'll make an exception for you." Then she signed it.
I ask her, "do you not want to put that, did I insult you?" She replies "it's just so old, I'm over it."
At this point I'm like a deer in headlights.
I then sit next to her to take my pic. We take the pic and then she shoos me away and tells me to go while pushing me off the chair.
I'm pretty much in shock and in tears at this point. I walk away devastated. I was Too shocked to say anything back. That was the worst.
So today (sunday), I returned to her table. I calmly spoke to her handler and explained everything. I just wanted to meet her and have a better experience and not get charged. She told me to ask her agent. I explained and asked her agent and she still wanted to charge me. I took a deep breath because I was about to go off. Then her handler approaches me because I walked away, and says Kathleen wants to see you.
I approach Kathleen and she goes "why didn't you just come up to me and tell me?!" I said "well because I didn't want to piss you off even more. You wanted a break and you were tired."
She said well I don't want anyone leaving my table upset, come here." She then hugged me, had a conversation with me and let me tell her what her films mean to me. She totally made up for it because I ended up having a great experience. She is a tough broad. All is well.
The first pic is Friday's, and the last is Sunday's. #monstermania#kathleenturner#80sbabe#bodyheat#romancingthestone#beverlysutphin#serialmom#johnwaters#psychochickflick#jessicarabbit
