Sometimes it’s easy to want training to be all smiles on gorgeous sunny trails ☀️
But those days aren’t what make us stronger. Those days aren’t what I will think about at mile 20 of the marathon 🤷🏼♀️
Instead, I’ll pull on the days like yesterday. Where I was the only one to show up to practice in the pouring rain, finishing 16 miles in the dark after a full day of work. Where at mile 2 I wanted to quit. And at mile 15 I felt like I was flying. 💪🏻
If running has taught me anything, you gotta hold on tight to these good days. Acknowledge that some of that fitness is sneaking through the fatigue. I’m SO grateful to @runwiththelab for this training cycle. Let’s just say I’m starting to feel the magic ✨

4 easy miles with visualization as my motivation- while I do visualize crossing the finish line, I’ve been trying to mentally prepare for when the wall hits - because I know it will. I picture myself starting to walk, and then get mad I’m quitting so easily and then I start running again. I imagine this scene over and over ..... of starting to run again after I feel like I “can’t.” Mental preparation will take me father than physical training this late in the game. My focus now is my mind, resting & proper nutrition. Oh yeah, and having fun😎 Two more sleeps and then #26point2 **********************************

Rainy days + achy knee = no running for Talia. I’m starting to think that my knee can forecast the weather because I swear it only aches when rain is coming. 😂 (Might also be the universe telling me that it’s time for new running shoes).
