When we pay attention, we can glean great lessons through every experience.
I went River Rafting this weekend and because i'm generally not afraid of bodies of water, I thought ncla, I will be able to do this with my eyes closed - NOT 🙆🏾🙆🏾🙆🏾
This experience taught me so much:
1. I don't know the difference between left and right. For the Raft to go in the direction right, u need to paddle on the left and vice versa - so counter intuitive 🙄
2. There where too many obstacles to navigate in the form of massive rocks from nowhere and sand - the life guards solution to this was 'GET OUT of the boat and push it out of the rock/sand' 😳😳😳 How? What do u mean? I'm wearing takkies? Bathong Im a girl 💁🏿, The water is dirty, the water is cold, this is the Crocodile River 😱 - ADAPT nana
3. In as much as it was difficult to paddle #BecosFitnessDololo , there where times when the current propelled us forward without us having to make any effort, I had to learn to go with the flow, take it easy Miss T, stop toiling, nature's got this 🙌🏾 4. Then our raft capsized, helmet and life jacket in place, I was sure I was gonna die, lifeguards kept on saying u wont drown, (the swimmer in me for some reason didnt believe that), I was dying 😂😆😂, after the whole ordeal, I thought the life guard would allow us to discontinue the trip, nope, we had to keep pushing to the finish life #BecosGoals
Dear self, thank you for being bold, you went in scared, but u did it, u finished🍾
