Traditionally in Japan, we have a graduationceremony in March, and an entrance ceremony and an opening ceremony in April.
After graduation, newcomers have a company entrance ceremony in April. In this season, tulip are bloomed. We tend to remember our entrance ceremony with the beautiful tulip.
Tonight when I was in the grocery store the nice obaachan saw me and said, "I have a gift for you today!" When I went to the cash register she handed me a paper bag. I opened it to find various snacks and she said, "I don't know if you are able to eat these Japanese snacks (red bean paste/rice crackers), but I hope you can enjoy these so you can do well at work. I am like your Japanese mother now!" 😂
Also, grapes and asparagus were on sale today ($2 per grape container and $2 per three stalks of asparagus) and I've never been so excited for a sale. I actually have not eaten grapes except when I went back to the US in September last year (because they're so expensive here). Funny how the things you especially appreciate change as time goes on.. #優しいおばあちゃん#スーパー#アスパラ#春を感じる #🍇 #wheretheasparagusemojiat
