Last week, I came across the Squaw Valley Chapel that was built for the 1960 Winter Olympic athletes. Two concrete buttresses, one on each side, support the free-form hyperbolic parabola roof made of reinforced concrete.— the snow merges with the roof form to bind the structure to the site. The building is aligned with major mountain peak to further bind to the site. I will find out who the Architect is for this gem..
Robert S Kerr Ave & N Hudson Ave, Oklahoma City
November 18, 2011. First time explore #OklahomanCity by myself. It was a relaxing Friday afternoon until I arrived to the downtown. Kind of amazed and slightly sacred of the quietness over there. Only took 8 pictures on this trip. It is the last one I shot before heading back to the campus.
