Thailand training day 13: Starting to feel results. Classes are still tiring but I'm not getting winded as quick, doesn't hurt to walk after, and abs are holding up much better. Progress! Worked with probably toughest trainer to date. He is really big on the fine details and wouldn't let me half ass at all. Keep punching and kicking till the power and proper motion is there. Really made me see the difference between traditional muay thai and the mixed style I'm More familiar with.
)no run. I was feeling lazy and almost didn't even go but my boy told me get my ass up... Here to train not relax
)2 3 mimute rounds of trainer calling out strikes. 10 push-ups and abs after rounds.
)4 3 min rounds of pads. Alternated 10 squats, push-ups, and abs after each round.
)4 3 min rounds on bag. Alternated 10 squats, push-ups, and abs after each round.
)4 3 min rounds of sparring. Worked with a tall guy from Chicago who seemed kind of new to it. Was able to work my basics and practice what I just learned without too much fear of taking a hard shot. Alternated 10 squats, push-ups, and abs after each round.
6) 20 mins of clinching. Learned more clinch techniques and now see why is so tiring.
)1 min of non stop knees.
)10 slow squats then 10 slow push-ups
)50 high 5 sit ups
