••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• How do you feel about rest days?
Lately I have been feeling a little sore and tight from all this cold North East weather. Instead of pushing myself through it to get the workout done I LISTENED to my body. Your body will tell you what you need but it's up to you to follow through whether that means taking it easier one day or taking another day completely off. Taking rest days are so important for your body to recover and limits the risk of injury and over training. Whether it's a resting recovery day or an active recovery day make sure you're giving yourself a well deserved break 🍑

Tips ----> 1. Do not use/rely on momentum. If you need to drop your weight selection down. 2. Really reach through these movements to activate all your muscles. 3. Keep your core engaged ALWAYS ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• I was momentarily intimidated walking into the gym today. Everywhere I looked there were people who were bigger and stronger than me but then I realized something. I will never be the strongest person in the gym, I may not ever even be the person working out the hardest or there the longest but that's completely fine. I'm happy with myself and my progress and I don't need to diminish that happiness by comparing myself to anyone else. I only have this opportunity to be me and life is too short to not enjoy that. ✌🏻🤗 #fitness#girlswholift#fitnessmotivation#athleta#aloyoga#fitspo#fitnessgirl#fitnessjourney#fitfam#fit#conquerfromwithin
