Today’s conditioning was focused around working at a consistent pace over a long period of time (38mins). My aim was to hit 50 calories in each 2min round and by George it got tough towards the latter rounds😅

Why do I do it and why should you contemplate on giving it a bash?

Training for endurance will help build up your aerobic capacity so basically you’ll be able to train for longer, this could benefit crossfit WODS and would be very beneficial for any sport⚽️🏉 It’s also a great workout if you just fancy burning a shed load of cals.

Interested in giving it ago but 2 minutes is a bit too much for you? Don’t be scared to scale it down so you can hit 5-10 rounds. Start by working for 1 minute and rest for 2 then look to increase that number over a few weeks. Remember CONSISTENCY is key with this workout!!

You may see me posting conditioning workouts most of the time but I always 9 times out of 10 add some kind of accessory movement in my workout. usually compromising a push, pull and lower body exercise depending on what I have done prior in my conditioning.

The benefits of unilateral exercises? You can prioritise each side of your body individually, so if you’re weaker on one side it have a muscle imbalance you can concentrate more on correcting that. •
“Wait what does unilateral mean!?” Using one limb only 💪🏼

The exercise in my video 🎥 ‘DB Z press’ a great all round shoulder exercise. Being seated on the floor without no support makes it a good exercise for working your shoulder stability (something I struggle with myself on my left side).
